Montefalco

Among the towns in Umbria, Montefalco is known not only for its splendid views but also for the excellent wines it produces.
It is therefore necessary to sip at least a glass of Sagrantino or Montefalco Rosso, visiting the many wineries that surround the town.
But that’s not all: the Church of S. Francis hides treasures by Benozzo Gozzoli, perfectly intact frescoes depicting the life of the saint.
